One of the most memorable moments, and shows that theEndure hardships, was the description of the preparation to go to bed aanchoring boat on the Amazon in an attempt to get sailing against the tide of the great waters of Lake Titicaca. First, men had the boat tied to a tree and make sure that they ensure a certain distance from the canopy of branches anchor to that can not carpenter ants into the boat and start falling to chew wood. Then they had to lubricate the rope tied to the tree to avoid the snakes, glideBoard, and then the window should be such that no one could come on board the bats. And this is only a small part of this adventure!
Along the way, Mr. Jones describes not only the lives on board the ship, but also provides an insight into the lives of those he comes in contact, and sometimes a little "history of the region in which they currently attend.
One thing is certain - no one is bored.

The first and best - sr - vt
It was "a big book when he came in, I do not know what we have learned, there are also some embellishments and fiction in these pages. Jones has an amazing journey, and all his trips here, and in his life. The crossing of South America was real. Even without the bells and whistles that has done more than most sailors, or always. This is a book about the determination and individuality. fact and fiction in his essential part of humanity is imperfect, is basically correct.

Fantastic read! - Michael D. Famico - Marblehead, MA
